Bora Bora is an Island that is a part of the French Polynesian Islands and is located approximately 106 miles Northwest of Tahiti.  There are several different Bora Bora maps available for those that are choosing to travel to what could arguably be called the most beautiful island on the planet.

                For those of you that want to actually visit the island, you'll probably want something a little bit more in depth.  Color maps like the one listed above is not going to be enough to get you around the island.  Different tourism websites have more in depth Bora Bora maps that show where you can find cruise boat departure points and several different resorts on the island.  These types of maps also point out different historical sites throughout the island as well as the different towns and several points of interest.  These tourist maps may also inform you of where you can find some great restaurants and some great shopping.  Since you can find several of these types of maps online, you can save yourself some money and just print them out before you leave home.

                If you're a diver, the Bora Bora tourist maps can help give you an idea of where the best dive spots are on the island but if you're a serious diver, you might want to get more specific.  The dive maps can give you specifics on the reefs.  They list the name of the dive site as well as a description of the site, an example being whether or not the site is a reef.  They also can give you a good idea of what the depth and visibility of the site is and, if the map is online, you may even be able to find ratings from other divers.

                Bora Bora is a gorgeous, tranquil paradise.  Make sure you take advantage of everything that it has to offer by printing off some maps of the island so that you don't miss a thing.  Who knows when you'll be back!
